OKBOL 2012 is sponsored by a grant from the National Science Foundation, Documenting Endangered Languages. The grant, entitled Collaborative Research: Oklahoma Breath of Life Workshop and Documentation Project, was awarded to Mary Linn (Award Abstract #1065510) and Colleen Fitzgerald (Award Abstract #1065068).

Colleen Fitzgerald is Professor of Linguistics at the Department of Linguistics at the University of Texas, Arlington, where she has an active research program in phonology and language revitalization in the Southwest and Oklahoma.

Mary Linn is Associate Curator of Native American Languages at the Sam Noble Museum where she works with Native communities and researchers to care for indigenous language collections and make them accessible. She is also Associate Professor of Linguistic Anthropology in the Department of Anthropology at the University of Oklahoma. Her research focuses on language description and revitalization in Oklahoma.
